- Technical degree or certification preferred, but not required. Professional experience could be a substitute.
- Agile product management training and at least 2 years of product management experience.
- Previous product, team, or department agile product management experience.
- Professional work experience in Advertising, Media, or Technology companies preferred.
- Highly detail-oriented
- Technical knowledge and close familiarity with database management, query-based languages and platforms (such as SQL or BigQuery), scripts (JS), tag management systems (such as GTM), BI visualization tools (such as Tableau or Data Studio)
- High-level understanding of data engineering and data warehouse work. Coding skillset is a plus.
- Able to be a technical platform owner with deep understanding of several analytics tools, platforms, and front ends such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Tableau, Data Studio, Google Big Query
- Understands data modeling, relational database concepts, and a strong knowledge of SQL and SQLServer. Experience with big data and nested data structures.
- Strong technical analytical thought process and ability to interpret, present, and communicate findings effectively across audiences.
- Creates and executes the product roadmap, facilitating collaboration with internal stakeholders and other product managers to drive the anticipated value agreed to as part of the agile planning process.
- Designs release experiments and validates hypotheses through customer feedback and analytics.
- Ensures the right work is brought into the team backlog, broken down, and prioritized or rejected.
- Articulates functional details to developers based on customer requirements to align product strategy and definition to product delivery.
- Communicates product delivery status and progress, frequently seeking feedback from stakeholders and customers
- Writes user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritizes the team backlog to articulate how a requirement would be implemented. Includes identification of customer use cases, edge cases, dependencies, and acceptance criteria including non-functional requirements.
- Adheres to industry-accepted product owner agile principles, participates in Agile ceremonies e.g., daily scrum, sprint planning meetings, retros.
- Comfortable with performing analytical and statistical work independently in business intelligence tools used by the analytics team.
- Strong analytical thought process and ability to interpret and communicate findings effectively across audiences.
- Ability to critically think through data integrations between platforms, understanding the technical implications of different approaches to ETL (extract, transform, load) data from one system to another.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, dynamic environment
- Excited about data and data insights being a core driver of company efficiency and decision-making
- Able to constantly prioritize workload with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and interrelation skills with an ability to establish, build and maintain relationships with a variety of people across departments.
